How did you become interested in making cross stitch patterns?
I was introduced to cross-stitch by my best friend when I was 18 - shortly after my mom passed away. I found that not only did I enjoy it, it helped me deal with the grief of her death.
As a lover of art nouveau and fantasy, I found myself fascinated by old advertisements, posters and paintings from the late 1800s to early 1900s. I loved the bright colors and curvy nod to femininity from that era. I'm also not a big fan of confetti stitch so I started using available prints but then doing tons of work to the charts to minimize the confetti.
After putting that much time into "perfecting" my charts, selling them to others seemed like the next logical step.

Your chart won't come in the mail. These charts are a PDF download. There are apps you can use to read the chart or you can use Adobe to open them. Adobe has a free download you can use to open PDFs.
I'm a fan of print charts, because I like the feel of them in my hands. Also, I find it frustrating when whatever device I'm using goes into sleep mode when I'm trying to read it. Once you receive the pattern you can easily print it from your home computer, at the library, or an office supply store.
If you prefer to read it digitally, there are apps you can use for that. Patternmaker is one people seem to like.
